We will try to teach our children that we do not "need" everything we "want". My parents grew up in the Depression and lived their lives frugally, but well. Somehow "Boomers" got caught up in the "have-to-have-it-now" mentality of the Eighties and Nineties. This is our opportunity to become less materialistic and enjoy the times and people that really matter. This downturn will affect the attitudes of “The Boomer” generation for a long time.
