Tammy,

Thanks for sharing in your similar service stories of AT&T. I am sorry to hear about your situation with the release of the new iPhone 3G S several weeks after your purchase. I am not sure if you had expressed your disappointment with AT&T but you might want to check out the AT&T return policy and speak with a manager at a store.

After being a verizon customer for over 10 years, I decided to make the leap to AT&T specifically for the iPhone. What a mistake! First as you said their service is terrible...I never had dropped calls with Verizon. And to further the pain, 3 weeks after paying $400.00 for my phone they came out with the new $99.00 version.
Although they promise that things will get better...I am wondering how long I can tolerate the phone service. Talking to clients and dropping service in the middle of a conversation is very exasperating..to say the least!

Thanks for sharing your experience, Dawn.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that AT&T can improve on their service... and soon!

What dropped calls? I do not even get calls. In Willow Glen it is a common fact that many people have absolutely NO coverage from AT&T. If I want to answer a call on my iPhone, I have to lean over my kitchen sink and hold it horizontal. Lots of fun - therefore I simply forward my calls to my home phone when I am home and then I get charged for the minutes when a call is forwarded. Complaining to AT&T does absolutely no good in the 3 years I have owned my phone. Overall I love the phone but given the choice to go to another carrier, I AM THERE! Convenient access to my emails when I am out of the office makes it worthwhile and occasionally it will work for phone calls in other places.

Summary - I love my iPhone - Just AT&T could improve their service and customer service.

Tei,

I appreciate your article, and couldn't agree more with your views. For me, the constant dropping of calls drives me insane. You would think AT&T and Apple would have figured something out by now to fix this. But then, its only been two years.

Gary,

Although the style of posts and comments may vary per author, we at Realty World Corporate try to provide a wide range of topics and writing styles to be as helpful to as many people as possible.

Not every article is going to appeal to everyone. However, given the vast use of iPhones in the real estate industry and being that the majority of iPhone users will be upgrading their OS, I thought it would be relevant.

Tei, I didn't know that this forum was a place for putting our likes and dislikes about certain products. Thankfully it is a short article and didn't waste too much of my time. Can you please try to write something that would be more helpful to more people in more places?

A good friend once told me that the only true motto in life is "work hard, play hard."

I have tried to follow that as best as possible and as often as possible. The question is whether or not that pertains to your choice in cell phones. I decided to make the commitment (or sacrifice, whichever way you look at it) and I don't plan on looking back anytime soon.

I love my iPhone and I hope you take the time to "play" with one first hand.

Tei,
I couldn't agree more with your opinion of AT&T service.I am VERY frustrated with the service.I could one up you on the AT&T and say -less bars in less places.Their national service map has lots of Open Space in the West. Needing to upgrade my Cingular 8125 which has been reliable, but not fun ,not sure what to get ~ Work or Fun Phone??
